Welcome to the Auracast Bristol Temple Meads Trial Feedback Survey

Thank you for taking part in this trial of Auracast technology at Bristol Temple Meads station, in partnership with Ampetronic and the Royal National Institute for Deaf people (RNID).

This survey is designed to gather your feedback on using Auracast – a new form of Bluetooth technology – in a busy transport environment. Whether you are deaf, have hearing loss, or do not have any hearing-related conditions, your experience is important to us.

You are welcome to complete the survey each time you pass through the station, as improvements will be made throughout the trial based on your feedback.

The survey is open until 8th September 2025, and you must be 18 or older to take part.

Your responses will help us understand how Auracast can be used in transport hubs, support ongoing development, and inform potential rollout to other locations.

Thank you for your valuable input.

What is Auracast?

Auracast is a feature of the latest version of Bluetooth. It allows high quality audio to be broadcast by one device and picked up by many other devices, without needing to go through a pairing process. An Auracast broadcast can be picked up by an Auracast receiver. All kinds of hearing devices could be Auracast receivers. This includes earbuds, headphones, hearing aids and cochlear implants. The wide range of Auracast receivers will make Auracast useful for everyone, whether or not they have any form of hearing loss.
