Share your experiences of accessing NHS Services
About the survey
RNID and SignHealth are working together to understand the experiences of people who are deaf or have hearing loss when accessing NHS services.
RNID is the national charity supporting the 18 million adults in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus. We work to end the discrimination faced by our communities, help people hear better now, and fund world-class research to restore hearing and silence tinnitus.
SignHealth is the UK's Deaf health charity. We offer specialist services in British Sign Language (BSL) including domestic abuse support, psychological therapy, social care and help for children and young people. We also campaign to raise awareness of the barriers Deaf people face when accessing health services and information.
The purpose of this survey is to gather evidence so that we can campaign for Government and providers of NHS care to improve the way they meet the information and communications needs of our communities. The survey will include questions about your experiences of accessing NHS services as well as questions about your information and communication needs.
Completing the survey It should take around 15 minutes to complete and every question is translated into BSL. If you would like to have BSL support while completing the survey, please reach out to Contact RNID via SignLive (open 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). You can find more information about SignLive by clicking the link provided: BSL Information Service in the section “How to use SignLive.
